Beulingstraat

MAKEOVER FOR QUADRUPLETS

Many generations of prostitutes and students left these two buildings – each one comprising two dwellings – thoroughly dilapidated. Supporting walls, interior walls, foundations … hardly anything remained intact. We replaced the foundations in these original 17th-century houses – one featuring a bell gable, the other a neck gable. This allowed us to excavate the basements and make them habitable. We built two spacious kitchens with attractive marble floors there. The makeover in the rooms above resulted in four stylish apartments. In addition to the tremendous care taken in the construction process, we added lovely finishing touches, such as beautiful panelling and tasteful colours.
