Van Baerlestraat

PANORAMA IN AMSTERDAM SOUTH

Overlooking the Van Baerlestraat, one of the busiest streets in Amsterdam South, we have designed an additional storey, with a glass-like shelter on top granting access to the roof terrace. After obtaining all the permits, the contractor has achieved a truly daring feat: using scaffolding in front and in back and a crane, the plan was carried out as timber construction at 15 metres above street level. This breathtaking vista is the pièce de résistance atop the additional 100 m2 of residential space featuring a panoramic view of Amsterdam. The façade has been designed to match the style along this street: a lovely dormer window and tiled roof beautifully complement this row of houses.
